Reasons Your Tire Pressure Light is Illuminated

The tire pressure light is coming on for a reason; either it is malfunctioning or there is an issue with one or more of the car tires. Here is what could be causing the tire pressure light to stay on.

One of the things that many drivers don't realize is that the weather could affect the pressure in those tires. A drop in temperature of ten degrees could cause the air pressure in each tire to drop one pound. Then there is the fact air is naturally escaping from the tires at around a pound a month.

If you ran something over and it is stuck in the tire, it might be difficult for you to see, but it has caused air to slowly escape and will do so until the issue is addressed. If the pressure light continues to come on, bring the vehicle to our Lakewood, CO service center so we can diagnose what the trouble is.
