What is the difference between a crossover and an SUV?

While both are utility vehicles, the major difference is the platform upon which each vehicle is built. With a crossover and even some smaller SUVs, you'll often find that they are built on lighter platforms. This allows for smooth driving and standout handling for the everyday driver. Larger SUV options, particularly those of the three-row variety, often have bigger platforms, and for some American automakers, they are platforms shared with trucks. That adds a layer of ruggedness and durability, but you can still find smooth driving, family-friendly larger SUVs here at our dealership.

Are 4WD and AWD vehicles good in snow?

We know we're going to see lots of snowfall in the winter months and through the spring even. Having a vehicle that can handle the right road conditions is critical. All-wheel drive works best in the snow, as you can do less guesswork when driving on snowy or icy roads when navigating city streets. Four-wheel drive certainly works better if you're in deep snow, backroads, or extreme winter weather conditions. It's up to you to properly identify your regular driving habits, and to know what you'll need. Either will work, and safety is always key, as you shouldn't drive on roads during bad weather if you can avoid it, but here in Colorado, having AWD or 4WD is the most practical solution.
